Home Bound...

We haven't fully celebrated Halloween around here and actually last year was Kai's 1st time he actually had a costume. Well he seemed excited this year and dressed up as Batman and rushed off to school. When I got there for the parade he begged to go home. He was quite overwhelmed and ended up with a very upset tummy. We ended up at home Friday night for a cozy family night. I had no problem keeping candy out of the house! However Blake did try on his Monkey costume :0). Malakai has instructed us to call him "Monkey-Blakey-Poo-Poo" Okay...whatever you say!

RIDEMAKERZ!!!

Matt and I decided to take Kai on a special date today. Since Blake has been here we haven't been able to spend a whole lot of quality time with Malakai especially since Blake's favorite activities for 4 months have been nursing and crying. ;) He is doing better these days however still up every 2 hours in the night....anywho.... We first went to BJ's (our fav) and devoured a Peanut Butter Pizzookie! YUM!!! Next we surprised him by taking him to Ridemakerz at West Gate. Very cool place. Similar to Build A Bear but instead you build your own car/truck. Malakai LOVED it! Not a cheap date, but hey you only live once! Blake was very happy to see me once we arrived home (even though he does adore his Aunt Mimi) and squealed the rest of the day. I love my boys!

Note to Sissy: Malakai has officially allowed us in the "boys club" after today.

Daddy Time!

Since July Matt has been back in school and very busy. He gets 2 days off between work and school every 14 days. The boys and I miss him so much! Today was his 1st official day off for fall break and Blake got to enjoy some daddy play time. Matt is determined that Blake is going to say "da-da" first. I will be having a talk with Blake about that! Thanks to my sweet husband for working so hard at everything he does. We are so thankful and proud!

Caught Red Handed

Well it looks as though I may have a thumb-sucker this time! Blake is such a joy and has been so much happier since I have been supplementing more. He babbles, squeals, laughs and smiles and we are enjoying his little personality! Now we just have to get him to sleep through the night. ;)

Student of the Month

Malakai has been working very hard in Kindergarten and was rewarded by receiving the Student of the Month award. We are so proud of him and can't believe how big he is getting. A few days after the assembly I was able to help at his "apple party". It is such a blessing to be able to be involved with his school activities now that I am staying home. One of the other moms was really trying to get him to try apple pie. What a picky eater!

Seriously Cool....

Tonight Malakai was talking to me about costumes and before bed he said with his beautiful brown eyes wide as can be, "If Sissy was here with me and Blake, together, it would be SERIOUSLY COOL! She could be Princess Leia, I could be R2D2, and Blakey could be Chewbacca!" Why he didn't say Darth Vader or Luke...I have no idea. ;)
It was so adorable and I am so thankful that he remembers that Kambrie will always be a part of our family...even in heaven.

Growing up!

Oh my little Malakai...You are so precious to me. You are so grown up in so many ways and try to do everything so perfect. The other night when you said, "Mommy, I need chopsticks for my lips," I was reminded that you still are my little boy even though you try to be so grown up. It made me chuckle remembering how you used to call the kitchen, "chicken" when you were younger. I am so sorry I wasn't always there for you the last few years and I am enjoying every second now. I barely remember the age of 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 because I was so busy with Kambrie and my emotions. I feel like I missed out on so much of you in that year and also when I was working. :( You are an AMAZING, smart, loving, funny and sweet little boy and I will cherish you forever. You will always be my baby...I love you.

Brothers... ;)

Tonight Blake was having tummy time when Kai walked in and said, "Oh, Blake! You look so cute....like a grown-up baby!" It was so sweet. They hugged and I smiled. How I wish their sister was here to share these moments...

Pregnancy Pics...

I am so blessed to have such a great friend to take these pictures. Even though Blake is almost 3 months old, I still love to look at these and remember each sweet little kick. Well...BIG kicks. ;) In addition to the pictures she had a book created for me...designed by her as well. This is the greatest gift I have ever received and I will cherish it forever...Thanks, Doni.

Kai's 1st day

Malakai started school last month and is well adjusted. He has made some new friends and enjoys school. However, I had no idea how much homework he would have! SHEESH!

Kindergarten...

My precious Malakai was crying his eyes out tonight because he is nervous about starting school. He went to preschool and loved it but I was always working and now I am home since I just had Blake. He wants me to stay with him all day and never leave. :( SO sad! I am praying he will love his teacher and will make a lot of new friends. I tried to explain that he needs to go to school and learn and he will do many fun activities. I didn't convince him. My poor little guy is growing up! AAAGGGGHHHH

Sleep Deprived...

So this is what happens when you have a new baby with colic and are sleep deprived... ;) The stove didn't look any better. I just realized this looks like milk, but I actually boiled this stuff for so long ( I forgot about it) that it all melted and stuck to the pan...OOPS!

Sissy...

This one is for my dad... My dad and Kam had a bond like no other. She loved every second they had together and he NEVER put her down! :)

Having a new healthy baby is such a blessing, but I can't help but think of Kambrie, my baby girl who lives in heaven now. I came across these clips today and Malakai and I enjoyed each one together. I love you Kambrie! You are a big sister now! Blake even has your hair!

Baby brother :)

On 4/7 we saw our doctor and baby brother was already almost 3 lbs at 27 weeks! I was measuring 29 weeks. We should be having a big boy :) but not too big! Kai was there for the ultrasound and loved seeing him!
